About this artwork
This is a place I often cycle along in the countryside. I always find it's an inspiring place with it's trees and the ridges of the valley.
In this painting I wanted to capture the feeling and atmosphere of spring. The lovely dabbled light across the lane and the spring flowers along the hedgerow added a beautiful contrast of colour and added depth into the painting.
Rich colour and visible bold brush marks. signed with semi gloss varnish.

He often draws his inspiration from the richness of daily life and landscapes across London and beyond. His oil paintings are celebrated for reflecting the subtle interplay of light and seasons on everyday scenes, resonating with viewers through use of vivid colours and dynamic brushstrokes. His pieces, whether created en plein air or in the studio aim to forge an emotional connection with the audience - exploring the relationship between the natural environment and human man-made structures.
