About this artwork
Freakin' Kwik Pavement . Road stripes. A compression of speed and folding of space. You know the feeling and the need. Glass from airport runways and acrylic paint over billboard paper.

« Work that never stops moving. Learning, adapting, seeking new materials, and any way to amplify an apprehension of space. To re-compose space into elegantly ferocious abstractions. »
Mark Vinci is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. He describes his distinctive abstract collages as being imbued with the visual impression of speed, caught out the window of a fast-moving car, resulting in hyper-distortion. In his artistic process, Vinci most often creates on wood or steel supports.
