About this artwork
All fires need oxygen or else they will lose their flame. This fire-colored sculpture speaks to the power and the excitement of fire while acknowledging the robust need for oxygen. He is using this sculptural piece and its need for oxygen as a symbol of the need of the creatives to be exposed to many ideas.

« My work is about sculptural mark-making. Referencing the synergy between drawing and sculpture, between the material and the manipulated composition is what has, and continues, to empower me. »
Mark Wiesner is an award-winning American sculptor who has exhibited in numerous solo and group events throughout the United States.
