About this artwork
Bottle and window, 2022, mixed media on oil and canvas, is a handmade upcycled artwork from artist Markus Böhm's "IMPROVE" series. The work of art is unique. It has been left in its original frame.
Markus Böhm's work is complex and leads to a dramatic composition. A lively and energetic work of art that captivates the viewer. One of his upcycling works was nominated for the Summer Exhibition by the Royal Academy of Arts.
In the art series "IMPROVE"… Markus Böhm works on old oil paintings. As part of his upcycling process, he develops existing landscape or still life motifs, giving them a completely new meaning that breaks with the existing. He uses, for example, acrylic paints, acrylic glass, but also collage techniques. The framed and matt oil paintings are given shiny, shimmering effects as a result of his reworking.
