About this artwork
In my artwork, I capture the fleeting encounter between reality and dream. This painting speaks of a threshold, a moment of transition where the visible merges into the invisible. With vibrant yellow-orange-pink tones and the suggestion of a reflection over what remains hidden beneath the water's surface, I invite the viewer to surrender to their own thoughts and dreams. The work brings a calming yet dynamic energy to any space, a conversation between… the mysterious and the known. A journey across the sea.
"Flocking to the sea
Crowds of people wait for me
Seagulls scavenge
Steal ice cream
Worries vanish
Within my dream
I left my soul there
Down by the sea
I lost control here
Living free
Fishing boats sail past the shore
No singing may-day any more
The sun is shining
The water's clear
Just you and I walk along the pier
I left my soul there
Down by the sea
I lost control here
Living free"

A picture is like a new window in the house you live in. It can provide both a view and insight. It can show you the world and tell you about it, but also about yourself.
What fascinates me about painting is the immediacy of real time. Nothing can be limited, exaggerated, or repeated like with a computer. Painting requires maximum skill. Artistic experiences give the work its distinctive style.
You'll see, my pictures sneak surprisingly into the viewer's life. They lead us to new territory whose existence we only suspected. They invite us to spend our days and nights with them. They are like a good friend.
