In this work, I have captured the interplay of light and shadow in a monochrome, smooth sea of lacquer. The circular form symbolizes infinity and unity, while the subtle reflections open up metaphysical depths. It invites us to pause and discover the unseen – a silent meditation on being and becoming, which lends a powerful yet calming energy to any space.
The circular surface is completely immersed in a dense red, interwoven… with darker, semi-transparent layers. Beneath the glossy surface, organic lines, mottled areas of density, and delicate overlays emerge, lending depth to the monochrome circle. The red appears solid, yet not flat: it shimmers in subtle gradations and remains in motion.
