A picture is like a new window in the house you live in. It can offer a view and a glimpse inside. It can show you the world and tell you about it, but also about yourself.
No matter how often, how long, at what time of day or night, the sea fascinates me with its seemingly endless variation of color, light, and shape. Sometimes the water is darker than the sky, sometimes it's the other way around, then again the horizon is barely or not at all… visible… sometimes wild, sometimes still, sometimes like a mirror… only one thing is always certain: HE WHO HAS THE SEA NEEDS LESS! and I am where I want to be and can be…
"We have all set out on our journeys... drifting with the current, away and out into the wide blue, into the fearful solitude of freedom, through which each one must steer himself."
But – a comforting thought – there are islands.
