About this artwork
The painting surface is hand-printed in various shades of green. Straight lines form a network of surfaces and shapes along the color gradients. Individual fields are treated with a special solution, which dissolves part of the color base and reveals the underlying part, while shades and textures are added to others with a brush. Brass and colored lines made of neon acrylic form a bright contrast to the rich green.

« Chaos is uninhabitable; it requires form, structure and design. »
Markus J. Becker is a German artist living and working between Berlin and Dublin, whose works have been exhibited across Germany. With careful application of line, shape and structure, and the implementation of references from architecture and abstraction, he creates compositions that move between dynamic and static, chaos and order.
