About this artwork
This work from the series "Deconstructed Compositions" is a precise, hand-crafted work. The painting surface made of polyester drawing foil is printed by hand with ink, India ink and acrylic and cut into sixteen equally sized rectangles and then reassembled. A bundle of lines pushes outwards from the center of the picture. Rings of coarse brushstrokes spread out across the entire surface around the center. The right half of the picture has been shifted…
vertically by one field, which means that the upper part has moved to the lower end, giving the composition a flowing dynamic.
