About this artwork
I love water and the sea. Every year I spend my holidays by the Baltic Sea. The watercolor “Baltic XI” depicts the interplay of light and water. The watercolor technique beautifully captures the workings of nature, as its primary medium—water—is also the fundamental element of our planet. I used seawater for the painting in order to literally and physically preserve the seaside landscape.
