About this artwork
Looking at this work, I feel a deep connection with the process of growth and transformation that the concept of **Oubaitori** represents. Each brushstroke and texture speaks to me of individuality and the importance of embracing one's own rhythm, without the pressure of comparing oneself to others.
The use of deep red tones reminds me of the vibrant blossoming of the plum tree, the most resilient tree, which grows even in adverse conditions. Here… I see a metaphor for how, despite the circumstances, it continues to blossom, creating a unique and powerful form. Through that red stripe that runs across the canvas, I feel the essence of a vital energy, a path traced firmly but also gently.
The white and blue spaces around represent to me the idea of the "fertile void", of the peace and serenity that comes with the knowledge that each process is unique.
Marta Reina combines mixed media and acrylics, immersed in the world of art since her childhood. Using various spatulas and textures, her style evokes emotional abstraction, leading the viewer towards deep introspections about nature and the human condition. Her works radiate an introspective calm, resonating with the poetic serenity of the inner landscape.
