A play of light and shadow, created by colored dots. The clear gaze is in focus, but a slight illusion can be found upon prolonged observation. Where am I really looking? That's me, or rather, my eyes. The indirect gaze makes the eyes appear curious. They don't look at the viewer, but rather sideways. Friendly and curious?

Marta Widowitz, trained in art history and applied arts, uses photography and acrylic painting in her works. Her technique is unique; she prints photographs on canvas and then adds a new dimension of depth and texture using acrylic, metallic acrylic, and texture paste. This process creates a play of light and shadow, making the image appear sometimes like a photograph, sometimes like a painting.
