About this artwork
This photograph was taken during a stay on Coconut Island in Thailand. For a brief moment, two eyes met – the bird's and my own. From this silent encounter, the painting developed. I used acrylics, metallic paints, and texture paste. Fine brushstrokes enhanced the shimmering plumage and the special presence of that moment.
