Snow settles over the ground, covering, transforming, and simultaneously revealing individual areas. From the familiar winter landscape emerges an almost abstract composition of shapes, structures, and contrasts.
A fragment of the artwork has been deliberately cut out. This opening reveals the wall behind the image, making it part of the composition. Depending on the color and surroundings, the artwork's effect changes – a new connection between… image and space is constantly created.
"Open Reality" plays with the boundary between representation and reality, between what is part of the work and what lies outside of it.

Marta Widowitz, trained in art history and applied arts, uses photography and acrylic painting in her works. Her technique is unique; she prints photographs on canvas and then adds a new dimension of depth and texture using acrylic, metallic acrylic, and texture paste. This process creates a play of light and shadow, making the image appear sometimes like a photograph, sometimes like a painting. Her works, inspired by travel and everyday moments, convey a sense of change and movement.
