In this piece, I poured raw emotion through vibrant brushstrokes and fragmented forms to capture the complexity of human expression. The blend of bold colors and semi-abstract shapes invites you to feel the intensity beneath the surface. This painting radiates energy and introspection, transforming any space into a sanctuary of thoughtful reflection and spirited emotion.
This painting, which is very special to me, says it all with the power of the… gaze. In a practically abstract concept and style, and with almost no details, Agnes' face appears and an almost insistent gaze looks directly at the viewer.
I enjoyed painting this different portrait, unique in its style, in a warm palette that I hope you will like, and that I paint like always, with all my passion.

Martha Escondeur is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Uraguay whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands and Spain. Many of her pieces relate to the human being and are a translation of their experiences and emotions. Escondeur endeavors to capture what she observes in the "other", whether visible, clear, or subtle. In addition, symbolic meaning is often imbued her composition's narratives. She creates using oils, acrylics, and gilding on canvas.
