With this canvas, I wanted to capture the invisible connection between minds and souls, using oil paint, gold, and silver to give it an almost sacred aura. The central figure represents the golden thread of wisdom that unites different states of being. what is experienced in the world today, and what emanates from my being without much explanation. There are scrapes, defined strokes, silver and gold leaf, and a great deal of dedication to letting the process flow. I feel it is a unique and unrepeatable painting, one that means a lot to me, and I truly hope you like it!

Martha Escondeur is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Uraguay whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands and Spain. Many of her pieces relate to the human being and are a translation of their experiences and emotions. Escondeur endeavors to capture what she observes in the "other", whether visible, clear, or subtle. In addition, symbolic meaning is often imbued her composition's narratives.
