« Imagination is King in the eye of the beholder. »
Martin Allen is a British contemporary artist (b.1963) working in oil on canvas from London. In 2024 he was personally commissioned by Lewis Hamilton as one of a select group of artists to create farewell artworks for the 3,000 employees of Mercedes-AMG F1 — original now on permanent display at Mercedes F1 Brackley.
His subjects span machines and drivers that defined motorsport history — Senna, Hamilton, Porsche 917 Gulf, Ford GT40 — alongside pop art, luxury fashion, and political satire. Technique: layered oils with transparent glazes on canvas and linen, influenced by Dalí, Freud, and Bacon.

Featured in British Vogue, Octane Magazine, and Motorsport Magazine. Special Mention for Excellence, London Art Biennale 2019. BP Shipping collection commission.
