About this artwork
The MYZEL photographs by Martin Ecker strive for a decoding of the elementary structures, to "something more real than the real" itself. Landscapes, buildings, people collapse in matter and form.
ANNIHILATION, a work by Martin Ecker, describes the dissolution of the moment and the transformation into a fairytale world like something out of a thousand and one nights. The structures merge and fade into the background to create a gateway that invites… us to become part of this world and lose ourselves. Ecker invites us to use our imagination and let ourselves be enchanted by the beauty and mystery of his works while immersing ourselves in another world.

Martin Ecker is a painter and photographer based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites space, time, and light playing a role in almost all of his compositions. In addition, Ecker's artistic practice favors experimentation with reactive processes and approaches. He has developed his own methods using living organisms in analog photography and also employs oxidation processes of precious metals his paintings.
