About this artwork
"In the Silence of the Shadows" - A 2008 installation that invites viewers to explore the vulnerability of nature in the context of climate change. By using gauze bandages around a single tree, artist Martin Ecker visualizes the numerous interventions and injuries our environment is subjected to. This symbolic representation vividly illustrates the increasing threat and destruction of natural beauty. "In the Silence of the Shadows" rises as an allegory…
reflecting the depths of human emotions and the existential struggle of nature. A contemporary work of aesthetic sophistication and profound resonance, it acts as a catalyst for discourse and insight. This unique installation is suitable for cities and towns, museums and galleries, for city festivals or themed events. The costs of the installation vary according to size, scope and duration and are calculated on request.
