About this artwork
NOTHING IS LOST I
The works created in a small series (number: 3) under the title "NOTHING IS LOST" by the artist Martin Ecker explore the depth of space. The disappearance of three-dimensional objects, the enclosing of light, time and space, the levitation of objects that have worked their way through the depths.
Be it the three-dimensional traces or the smooth surface, they look like excerpts from reality and form a lightless void of time, space… and object.
Material: gold imitation paper, acrylic gouache, pigments, structure material.

« My work is dedicated to deciphering chance and intention. »
Martin Ecker is a painter and photographer based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites space, time, and light playing a role in almost all of his compositions. In addition, Ecker's artistic practice favors experimentation with reactive processes and approaches. He has developed his own methods using living organisms in analog photography and also employs oxidation processes of precious metals his paintings.
