Between perception and reality: upon prolonged viewing, space opens up and the golden eruption begins to float in nothingness, it becomes weightless like a golden meteorite in space and glides along.
NOTHING IS LOST
For the new small series, I was looking for a color that creates a space, an infinite depth, without creating creative layers, as is sometimes the case with other of my paintings. The blackest black I experimented… with was created with Ultra pigmented paint, which I also enriched with other pigments. The notion that black is not a color and if it is a "simple" color is wrong. It is as sensitive as Titanium White and, according to my experiments, the most sensitive color in existence. This gave rise to the idea of creating a minimalist connection with my Periodic Table series.
Material: Real 999 silver paper, acrylic gouache, pigments, structure material.

Martin Ecker is a painter and photographer based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites space, time, and light playing a role in almost all of his compositions. In addition, Ecker's artistic practice favors experimentation with reactive processes and approaches. He has developed his own methods using living organisms in analog photography and also employs oxidation processes of precious metals his paintings.
