About this artwork
This painting grew from a particular state of mind. It’s less about illustrating a literal scene and more about capturing a feeling - an emotional storyboard in colour and movement.
People often suppress their emotions, editing themselves to fit the expectations of their profession, their social circles, or simply what’s deemed “appropriate.” Many live safely within those boundaries, doing jobs they are not passionate about, staying in places they… don’t feel alive in and in the process - they slowly let their true desires fade.
People should have courage to break free from that quiet conformity. To open their senses, and act on the impulses that make them feel alive.
Neon Tango is a celebration of that freedom. The couple doesn’t wait for a ballroom, a stage, or anyone’s permission. They dance in the glow of a neon-lit street corner, their movement unapologetic, their passion unfiltered. It's a reminder that self-expression can happen anywhere, if only we dare to let go.
Wojnowski, a Chelsea College of Art and Design alumnus, exercises his superb skills in acrylic paintings and interior design. Mesmerizing spectators through fine detail blended with expressive brushwork, he delineates a whimsical, dreamlike world where precision coexists with artistic freedom. He compels, through vibrant nuances of colour, a dive into an enchanting universe of nostalgia, playfulness and surrealism, ultimately sparking profound joy, reflection and momentary escape from reality.
