About this artwork
The picture shows an enchanting scene of ginkgo leaves that appear to be floating on the water. The fine structures of the leaves give the picture a delicate and filigree aesthetic. In various shades of turquoise, it creates a calming yet invigorating atmosphere.
The ginkgo leaves form a fascinating contrast to the dark depths of the water. The deep dark blue and the warm brown-red underline the mysterious and contrasting underwater world. The leaves… seem to float lightly above the bottom of the water and give the impression of a lively underwater landscape.
The viewer is invited to immerse themselves in this dreamlike scenery and experience the magic of nature.
Signed on the back.
I primarily work with acrylic paint and mixed media to create abstract compositions consisting of multiple layers and textured surfaces. My process involves combining paint with texture pastes, gels, and paper collage elements, allowing the surface to gradually evolve through accumulation and transformation. Nature and the universe are important sources of inspiration for my work. I am interested in the complexity and diversity of natural structures and in how organic forms emerge and interact. Through layering and texture, I strive to create visual spaces that suggest growth, movement, and transformation. Color plays a central role in my paintings. I use bold and vibrant tones to create depth and energy and to allow the traces of each layer to remain visible. I live and work in Stuttgart.
