The view is located on the coastal path of Belle-Île-en-Mer, on the wild coast in autumn
The green color of the sea is worked in many distinct pigments, which are echoed by the rust colors of the lichens on the rocks.
The soft autumn colours and wild waves transport me to off-season walks, when the island is not yet too touristy.
I have a studio in Belle-Ile en mer (open to visitors) and… this painting was painted from life.
