About this artwork
New years eve in our home is always a special day of fun, song, lots of food and late night card playing games. From Poker to Black jack and other games that we had such fun playing for minimal amounts of money, nothing serious to spoil the fun and laughter around the table! Hence my painting of 'Lady Luck'.

Mary Papas is an award-winning painter who was born in Egypt and currently resides in South Africa. She has exhibited her art nationally and in Ireland. Current themes in her series and pieces include abstract cityscapes, environmental awareness, lush country landscapes, and still life. Papas’ abstract-expressionist style is translated onto canvas using thick oil paints and a palette knife.
