About this artwork
In my creation, I explored the interaction between light and structure through the use of acrylics and charcoal. The contrast of white tones with sublime grays evoke an illuminated path in the abstract labyrinth of life. Each brush stroke and line carved with charcoal is a search for balance and harmony. This work invites us to contemplate the beauty in chaos and the order hidden in apparent randomness.
My research on abstraction is inspired by… nature, by the botanical designs of the textures of the leaf coat. The veins compose infinite paths that range over the surface and delimit it, creating a combination of lightness and materiality.

« My Art is 'where I know the way', it is the place where I feel free to communicate and I am always myself. »
Maryda Geraci is an Italian artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States. She describes her artistic expression as the communication of short poetic stories, expressed through natural objects. Geraci's creative language is composed of signs and colors that are a reflection of herself, her sensitivity, what is happening around her, and the world she inhabits. She creates using acrylics and charcoal on canvas.
