« Color is a body of flesh where a heart beats. -Malcolm de Chazal. »
Maryse Buffart is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. She describes her works as being emotional abstractions. Buffart translates emotions in order to step away from them, understand them, as well as furthering the knowledge of herself and others. She transposes the figurative with the abstract by mixing techniques and materials, focusing on depth, transparency, and colors.
