About this artwork
This work on plywood explores the boundary between the human and the inanimate, drawing its conceptual roots from Hans Bellmer's famous and haunting photographs of articulated dolls. The face, painted in cold, bluish tones, evokes the melancholy and vulnerability of an artificial creature that almost seems to come to life. The strong tilt of the composition and the rich geometric-ornamental patterns of the background recall the joints and biomorphic…
structures of Surrealism, transforming the portrait into a reflection on solitude, desire, and isolation from the outside world.

Credentials
- Works on commission
I have a background in architecture and visual arts and work with techniques such as ink, oil, watercolor, acrylic, collage, modeling, and digital media. My expressive and psychologically charged style blends figuration and distortion, layering intense brushstrokes, saturated colors, and instinctive gestures to reinterpret sacred and historical images through a contemporary lens. My art vibrates with emotion, conveying a raw vulnerability and the complex resonance of beauty and discomfort, inviting viewers to confront the fragile and unresolved truths that lie beneath the surface.
