The total dimensions of the canvas are 97x117 cm to be mounted on a frame.
Portrait are a series of studies on the face and its metamorphoses. On the surface of the skin of the face the artist seeks an internal morphology of the spirit of the body.
The deformation present in the "Portrait" works expresses, through an architecture of signs, the impossibility of adapting to a definitive form to keep… alive a perennial play of forces in tension. MQ's works shake the viewer's perceptive system to open new avenues of sensitivity, without any intent to construct disturbing figures. A painting "that touches the nervous system" and can make something new concretely sensitive.
Given the large size, the work will be shipped rolled up in a cardboard tube.
