About this artwork
"Colors of Love" understands color as a relationship. Intense red enters into a dynamic dialogue with turquoise, violet, and magenta. The colors transform one another: turquoise gains in coolness and presence, while the red appears warmer and more spatially intimate. Horizontal layers of color thicken the upper pictorial space, beneath which a vast expanse of red opens up. Here, love is not presented as simple color symbolism, but… as an interplay of closeness and distance, tension and harmony.

Master Phago's work is a long-term investigation into color. From geometric color schemes to expressive painting and his current series, his visual language evolves—but the central question remains: What happens when color no longer follows form, but becomes the defining element of the image itself? As an artist and color theorist, Phago explores how colors influence one another and alter perception, space, and emotional tension.
