With this digital work, I have captured the energy flows of a chaotic world. This piece brings dynamic power and impulse to any space, inviting wonder and reflection. It is a visual earthquake full of emotion and expression—"Zilzal," the real earthquake and the abstract "earthquake" of an individual from the sacred texts, "Zilzal," united. It comprises 99 beautiful names of God, 99 image elements, and depicts an earthquake in Turkey in 1999. The… original work consists of a single format measuring 200 x 400 x 6 cm, created on numerous small canvases and incorporating other materials such as mirrors, glass, stones, and earth from Germany, as well as a laptop. The print offered is on canvas, measuring 100 x 200 x 5 cm. Other formats/media are available upon request. I spent approximately 180 days completing the work, from 1999 to 2000. The original doesn't exist; only prints exist, like the earthquake itself, which leaves behind rubble and ash. This masterpiece is omnipresent—especially now!
is a Hamburg-based artist who combines natural science, psychology, and contemporary visual language. The motif of the wave has accompanied him since childhood and represents energy, movement, and the connection between two worlds. In his abstract paintings and digital collages, he unites Impressionism, Pop Art, and modern techniques to make polarities such as light and shadow, stillness and dynamism visible.
Using powerful complementary colors, Phago creates works that are both aesthetically intense and conceptually multifaceted. They invite viewers to experience themes such as freedom, nature, and love anew. His art combines depth, contemporary relevance, and visual presence – art that tangibly enlivens spaces.
