About this artwork
The painting "Eolia" was born from the desire to find a striking shape, different from the usual square format, and at the same time from the need to give movement to a rational geometric figure like the pentagon. The internal geometries, composed of triangles and curves, and the diverse materials of the support fulfill this purpose. The colors and texture were inspired by a trip to the Aeolian Islands, where the porous, black volcanic rock alternates…
with a multitude of hues: from pink to red, from blue to sulfur yellow.
