About this artwork
An image about the father. He used to be the world, now he seems to be just a backdrop. He doesn't block the way, but you have to go through him if you want to stay on the path. What will he look like when you look back? Is he just a backdrop or is he actually a door opener? I struggled with the archetype of the father for a long time before I was able to condense it into an image.

Matthias Jung, an award-winning German photographer and printmaker, has exhibited nationally, as well as in Russia, the United States and Israel. His collages portray elements and imagery that are in a tense relationship with one another, featuring both the beautiful and abysmal. While the content is intuitively created, the implementation is technical. Jung uses his own photographs and creates through various computer programs.
