About this artwork
The picture was created based on a sketch from the Upper Engadine. The two peaks that I drew seemed to communicate with each other. This fantasy flowed into the painting process, in which I staged a kind of communication between the two mountains on the canvas using lines and areas of color.

It was his discovery of a surrealist exhibition in Munich at age 16 that set Oppermann on an artistic path. Inspired by mountains since childhood, he partners ‘en plein air’ painting with studio work to create unique representations of natural landscapes and people in motion.
