About this artwork
In my artwork I created a semi-abstract, expressionistic scene using watercolor and tempera. The bold strokes and powerful explosions of color embody the raw, untamed energy of nature. I want this liveliness and range of emotional expression to captivate the viewer and spread an aura of impressiveness and inspiration in every room.

« I paint landscapes that are less concerned with naturalistic reproduction as they are with capturing rhythms, the empty spaces in the landscape. »
It was his discovery of a surrealist exhibition in Munich at age 16 that set Oppermann on an artistic path. Inspired by mountains since childhood, he partners ‘en plein air’ painting with studio work to create unique representations of natural landscapes and people in motion.
