This picture is the second of three pictures describing the relationship between man and nature. Here, the walker seems right in the middle of nature. He is as if woven in, part of her, but also trapped by it.

« I paint landscapes that are less concerned with naturalistic reproduction as they are with capturing rhythms, the empty spaces in the landscape. »
It was his discovery of a surrealist exhibition in Munich at age 16 that set Oppermann on an artistic path. Inspired by mountains since childhood, he partners ‘en plein air’ painting with studio work to create unique representations of natural landscapes and people in motion.
