Matthias Riecker is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Switzerland. Describing his artistic process as a "free fall of the imagination", his abstract and expressive works are centered around "area and movement". Riecker has coined the term "complimentary painting" in which surfaces complement, cover, reinforce, condense, lighten, harmonize, complicate, interact and communicate with each other.
