About this artwork
"Escape" is a step into the unknown, a leap toward an unexpected elsewhere. This moving figure, arms wide open, embodies the audacity to let oneself be carried by the unexpected. I run on a suspension bridge, fragile but exhilarating, between two worlds: that of yesterday, where everything seemed mapped out, and that of tomorrow, where everything remains to be invented.
This painting reflects my own journey, my impromptu arrival in the world of… painting, an unknown territory I had never explored. Like this bridge swaying beneath my feet, the artistic adventure was at first a challenge, a hesitant crossing. But the desire to explore, to create, to express the inexpressible took over.
Through this work, I invite everyone to reconnect with their own impulse, to dare the unexpected, to trust the path that unfolds beneath their feet. For at the end of the unknown, there is always a discovery.
