About this artwork
The Saltimbanque is the first work of my study on the body and the symbolism of movement.
The light on the bodies, the lines of demarcation between light and dark, materialize a body language, to which I am extremely sensitive.
This body language tells stories, which we can guess or invent, it translates states of mind, relationships, introspection, feelings, impressions.
The Acrobat is a self-portrait; it symbolizes both my transition from the… world of finance to that of art, but also my fascination with physical prowess. Sport and the use of the body are key elements of my inner balance.
