The artist likes to make paintings about little villages, empty most of the time, often even totally abandoned, no one around. This in contrast to his other work, mostly crowded with figures. Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
