About this artwork
Imbued with the lushness of oils, my figurative painting celebrates life's simple pleasures. Now and then to paint something else. No figures, no landscapes, but very quiet, non moving objects. They are not really in front of me, so I can freely paint away, as I always do. No special goal to work to. It is how I like to work. Small piece in a nice frame.

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
