About this artwork
It is not easy for me to describe what I my feelings were, what I tried to tell the viewer with this painting. I make paintings out of need. My world is to visualise images that are in my head. At least that is what the process is. I work as long on a painting till all problems are put aside, everything on the right spot, in the right color! Over and over again. And everytime there is a different image. It is maybe more interesting to look and discover…
things yourself: it keeps the painting alive. Collectors are telling me stories about my work, stories I never could come up with! Be my guest! Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang!

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
