About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I was drawn to the play of emotions and relationships that bind and separate us. Using semi-abstract forms and a palette that mixes muted and vibrant tones, I've interrogated the depths of human connections and the solitary emotions within a crowd. what I tried to tell the viewer with this painting. I make paintings out of need. My world is to visualise images that are in my head. At least that is what the process is. I work as long on a painting till all problems are put aside, everything on the right spot, in the right color! Over and over again. And everytime there is a different image. It is maybe more interesting to look and discover things yourself: it keeps the painting alive. Collectors are telling me stories about my work, stories I never could come up with! Be my guest! Acry

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
