About this artwork
When I paint a landscape, it turns out mostly like this. A kind of horizon, the view divided in two. Not always but often enough. Can’t help it. Underpaint in acrylic, finish in oilpaint. Sides are painted, ready to hang.

« I do practically nothing, which keeps me enormously busy! »
Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
