About this artwork
In this piece, I've poured my fascination with the human journey, presenting an introspective exploration of our search for meaning. The search is an artwork that reflects my life. Searching. For everything: searching. So finally I produced a painting with that title. Lots of people are searching for something they never can find. They never come near too. That is what this work is about. A bit personal, maybe? But is all of my work not a bit personal?…
The muted palette and semi-abstract forms capture ephemeral emotions, letting the viewer's eye wander and wonder. These figures, adrift in thought, embody the contemplative silence before the revelation. Their presence in your space is a subtle, constant invitation to reflect, to seek, and to embrace the enigma of life.

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
