About this artwork
One of the parts to put my artwork online I am not very good at, is to talk about it. Why I did it the way I did it. It is problematic for me! If I walk around in a gallery, museum or artshow I like to make out for myself what the maker could have intended. No stories, no show. Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
