About this artwork
The painting is about human interest, or the partial lack of human interest. That is subject for most of my paintings. You start a painting by drawing a few lines, a few fast brushes of the wrong color and then start the process of adding of overpainting here and there, sometimes the total image is lost and it starts aal over again. So also this one came to a finish after some corrections. But now they are together again. Soft colorpalet. The figures…
are swinging a little: from happiness? May be. Painting comes with a black floating frame (see additional images), sides are painted, ready to hang, shipped in a crate.

« I do practically nothing, which keeps me enormously busy! »
Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
