This piece explores the RM a barrel-shaped design that breaks from circular orthodoxy. The exposed skeleton movement within becomes architecture, golden bridges and gears suspended in mechanical poetry against a monochromatic palette.
I'm drawn this piece because… it represents individualism in a world dominated by the norm. The asymmetric form creates visual tension. Through layered impasto, I mirror the dimensional complexity of the visible movement, building texture that emphasises the skeleton's mechanical transparency.
Grey tones dominate with strategic gold accents marking the movement's bridges and complications. Heavy palette knife application gives the work sculptural depth;the texture catches light throughout the day, animating the piece like the watch movement itself
