About this artwork
Portrait of a homeless man created using the multi-layered stencil technique with spray paint on 400gsm Hahnemühle paper. This work is part of the Homeless Series—portraits of those whom the city looks at without seeing. A gaze that has lost everything except its history, its dignity, its presence. The stencil, a technique born on the street, returns to the intimate sphere what belongs to the public sphere: the face of the invisible.
An urban artist based in Zaragoza, Spain, specializing in hyperrealistic portraits using a multi-layered spray-paint stencil technique. His practice stems from direct intervention in public spaces—without festivals or intermediaries. Each piece is constructed from 10 to 15 hand-cut layers, a process that takes between three and seven months per portrait.
Her work has evolved into series of social commentary: Inhabited Solitudes explores the institutional abandonment of the elderly; the Homeless Series restores dignity to those whom the city looks upon without seeing; Silhouettes of Resistance pays homage to women who redefined world culture. Faces that history sought to erase but that urban art returns to the collective gaze.
Recognized by the University of Zaragoza and three-time finalist in the Stencil Art Prize of Australia
