About this artwork
Miniature containers built from prefabricated plastic bricks on two levels (each container is made up of 1 or 3 pieces + a sticker of a real brand). Placed in descending order.
Brands compose a physical and heraldic landscape of our time.
Miniature containers represent containers but are also what they represent: prefabricated manufactured objects.
Possibility of interchanging all containers on the upper levels.
Highlighting infantilization.

Meryl uses epoxy resin, plywood, and reclaimed materials, fueled by a self-taught education after a stint in art history. His technique is rooted in the assembly, accumulation, and transformation of ordinary objects from landfills, with a strong presence of relief and standardization, inscribing his landscapes in a revisited tradition. Through his works, he creates a feeling of metaphysical emptiness, prompting reflection on the technological dehumanization of our time.
